We purchased the apartment off plan in 2004 and had many holidays here, in fact we liked the area so much we bought a house here in 2008 and moved here permanently and have been renting the apartment out for holidays ever since. Many guests have followed our example and moved out here as well in the years since.
Puerto de Mazarron is a little Spanish jewel, still barely known by holidaymakers from the Uk, though that has been changing over time as the word has spread! The Spanish love it here but they only come in numbers in July and August so the rest of the year it’s busy but not over-busy. Known to ex-pats as “the Port”, Puerto has a fantastic range of beaches, enough cafe bars and restaurants so you can eat somewhere different every night if you wish and lots of activities locally including wind surfing, scuba diving (several schools), jet skis, tennis, rambling, golf etc.
Not too far away are the cities of Cartagena and Murcia, both accessible by Bus or Train with a wealth of streets and attractions to explore and lots and lots of shops!
