About Split-Dalmatia County

Split-Dalmatia County (Splitsko-dalmatinska županija) is a central-southern county in Croatia. The main city in the county is Split.

 

In the Dalmatian area, there is a big variety of monuments that make all history lovers and explorers live an exciting dream. The Diocletian palace was the summer home of the Roman emperor Diocletian. The palace has four gates each standing on a different side of the world: The Golden Gate, the Brass Gate, the Silver Gate, and the Iron Gate.
