The wine-tasting menu has four excellent wine flights ($20+) that change frequently. Each flight has five delicious wine samples and an expert will tell you more about them. When you're done, you can purchase the wines at the wine shop or you can ship them to your family and friends. Press Club is a great place that offers California’s finest wines and beers. In the lavish wine-tasting cellar at the base of the Four Seasons Hotel, guests can chat, sample wine, and share small plates. It's one of the most authentic venues of its kind in San Francisco, and it's only two blocks away from Union Square and the Moscone Convention Center.
This wine bar features artisan vintners each month and on specific nights, visitors can sample wines directly from the winemaker. The wine list changes seasonally and offers a wide range of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. If you plan to go there for private tastings with a group of people, it's best to make a reservation on their website.

Master Vintner Victor Eristavi creates his wines with a combination of old and modern techniques that capture the essence of distinctive California grape varieties. The Eristavi family has roots in the Republic of Georgia near the Black Sea. Many experts believe that viniculture, which dates back to 6,000 B.C., was born here and served as the foundation for wine production.
The winery ages its award-winning wines in traditional Georgian clay vessels or French oak barrels. They allow the tannins to drop out to achieve a tasty unique flavor profile. If you'd like to have a bottle of Rose, Rouge, or Merlot at home, become a member of the Wine Club or buy one of the wine packages in the shop. For example, the Red Box Wine Tasting Three Pack with Syrah, Zinfandel, and Merlot sells for $109. You can also choose two-pack bundles ($65) and get a digital gift card ($25) for someone. Chateau Montelena Tasting Room
The tasting room of California's Chateau Montelena Winery is located in Westin St. Francis on Union Square. You don't need to make a reservation and you get to sample five excellent wines for $40. There's a host that explains the history of the property and the wines you try. If you're unable to go to Chateau Montelena Winery, this is a fantastic alternative. Even if you can get to the winery, this is a great place to start wine tasting. They also offer retail wine sales and membership applications for the Chateau Montelena Wine Club.

If you're a true wine lover, it'd be a shame to stay in San Francisco and not visit the beautiful vineyards in Sonoma Valley. Here, Francis Ford Coppola provides guests with a taste of old Hollywood. This estate aspires to provide a fun atmosphere for the entire family, going above and beyond the traditional vineyard. Play bocce ball, swim in the pool, and have a nice meal in the full-service restaurant. Movie buffs will love the movie gallery, which features memorabilia from several of Coppola's films.
