The backpackers used to be the old medical centre, so each of the rooms used to be a nurses or doctors consulting room. Our kitchen used to be the A&E room, the lounge was the waiting room. Built in 1985 its got some very quirky aspects! Cromwell Backpackers is centrally located in Cromwell Mall. Guests can enjoy free use of bed linen, towels and WiFi. Access to a shared lounge and kitchen is also provided. This adult only property is located a 3-minute walk from the Cromwell Swimming Centre and a 5-minute walk from the Cromwell i-SITE Visitor Information Centre and bus station. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including skiing, cycling, fishing, canoeing and windsurfing.
