Ranked as not only one of the top bars in Colorado Springs but also in the USA, this bar will serve you the real kava, well known for its abilities in stimulating relaxation, promoting well-being, and treating various illnesses.

At the Ohana Kava Bar, the drink is served in a little coconut shell and should be swallowed in one or two quick gulps. You’ll find four variations of Kava on their menu: the Kraken — equivalent to 3 single traditional shells —, the Kava Colada Cocktail, the Maui Mule, and the Kava Lemonade. They also have non-Kava drinks and whole leaf tea.

Thunder and Buttons

The Thunder and Buttons bar is known for being one of the best places in Colorado Springs for people to sit back and relax. The food it’s prepared with super-fresh ingredients daily. Their menu includes up to five specialty dishes and a soup per day, and they also have a Sunday brunch.

Thunder and Buttons also has a great Happy Hour menu on Sundays and Karaoke on Wednesday – Saturday. For drink, you can order their draft beers produced in local Colorado Springs breweries, have a cocktail, or have a glass of wine.

This bar is so much fun that it was voted “Best of Westside and Karaoke Bar” 2012 – 2015. It was also rated as “Best Staff” and “Best Crowd”.

If you’re looking for a bar that has craft beer, live music, and special events such as pool tournaments, you will love Back East Bar and Grill. It’s one of the most fun bars in Colorado Springs, not to mention that if you visit around July 4th, you will be able to take advantage of their expansive balcony to view the fireworks! Seeking new a place to have a fun time during your Happy Hour? Visit this car Monday through Friday 4 PM – 7 PM where you can choose select drafts, cocktails, and house wine – all on special!

Zodiac Venue

Located downtown in Colorado Springs, Zodiac Venue is the bar to be if you’re craving premium craft cocktails. This place offers a laid-back but fun atmosphere. There is an additional 400 ft. patio to smoke or bring your drink out to enjoy. This bar lays out its schedule a bit more in-depth. Here are some exciting events for each day of the week:

Laugenbrezel – German Soft Pretzels

If you went to Germany and did not try a laugenbrezel, then you need to go back someday. Thick and soft with a browned exterior, German soft pretzels are simply irresistible. As well as quite famous not just in Germany, but around the world!

It is commonly served both on a stick and in a bun, which makes it the perfect on-the-go meal.

Kartoffelpuffer – Potato Pancake

There isn’t a holiday or festival in Germany that doesn’t include Kartoffelpuffer, or German potato pancakes. What’s not to love about a delicious treat?

Kartoffelpuffer is prepared differently than many other potato dishes as it is grated from raw potatoes, not boiled potatoes.
The most traditional way to eat these potato pancakes is with a side of applesauce, which adds sweetness to its savoriness.
In order regions of Germany, Katoffelpuffer is known as Reibekuchen and Kartoffelpfannkuchen.

Spaetzle – Egg Noodles

Schnitzel is not actually the type of food, but the name for how the pork is prepared.
Another name for schnitzel is schweineschnitzel.
Hammers are used to thin the pork before coating it in breadcrumbs to make a crispier crust.

Traditionally German people eat Apfelstrudel warm as it contains a rich creamy apple filling. However, many people also eat this dessert cold. It all depends on your preference.
Apfelstrudel has its own English name which is apple strudel.
Apple Strudel also has its own U.S. holiday on June 17th. Bakeries throughout the country love to celebrate this holiday with delicious pastries for everyone.
The term strudel is German for “whirl or swirl,” due to its form once baked.
